Dancing Dragonfly Winery: Dance Like No One is Watching

Put on those dancing shoes! Whether you like to boogaloo, ballroom, or ballet, the Dancing Dragonfly Winery has you covered. To the delight of the dragonflies, each wine is cleverly named after a dance.

When in or near the Twin Cities area, take a quick one hour trip north to the St. Croix Valley to kick up your heels and rest your wings. Reservations are highly recommended.  If planning ahead, join one of their celebrated events such as yoga, grape harvesting, wine dinners, or wine & cheese, art, grape stomping festivities.

On Acoustic Sundays, May through November, hang up your dancing shoes (or not!) and toe tap, relax, sip, and nibble with a full seasonal lineup of live performances from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Can’t Sashay on over in person? Gift yourself or someone else an Inner Circle Wine Club membership or select and ship a special bottle to swirl in your glass –  as you twirl on the dance floor, wherever you are!  Keep the dream alive with dragonfly merchandise or a gift card from the online store.

We also love that the Dancing Dragonfly Winery also gives back to its community with a portion of their profits “taking flight” to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

ShayArt: Timing is Everything

Capturing a clear shot of an insect that can beat their wings up to 1,800 time per minute is no easy task. Nature photography requires patience and swiftness, something Shay from ShayArt practices daily. As a professional photographer, he sees much of the world through his lens. His perspective entices viewers to reexamine a fleeting moment, such as this landed dragonfly, or linger and focus on the detail of an exquisite landscape or stunning architecture.

Whether you need a momentary serene mental escape, or are looking for something to hang on your wall so you can create your own oasis, take a look at the ShayArt portfolio. Prints, with or without framing, can be purchased in a variety of formats and price ranges, and shipping is available. Shay Art Media also provides photographic services, video production and photographic art displays and specializes in luxury real estate photography and golf course photography services, in addition to fine art photography, and a truly unique spin on abstract photo art.

Dragonfly Cakes: Delightful and Delicious

While a dragonfly might eat its own body weight in insects every day (fact: they are carnivorous) , you can nibble on Dragonfly Cakes‘ petits fours and two bite tea cakes and still remain as nimble as their namesake.

These dainty treats come in five flavors: chocolate, vanilla, lemon, coffee, and raspberry.  Pick up is available at their sister store Celebrity Cake Studio in Tacoma, Washington but these little lovelies can be shipped anywhere in the continental U.S.

Dragonfly wisdom – nature knows best: coloring is plant-based, and preservatives and additives are not used.

Each morsel is hand decorated. They can be customized and make a great addition to a tea party, wedding event, shower, or for no reason whatsoever in keeping with Dragonfly Cakes’ motto: Celebrate Life’s Little Moments with Us!
